A skilled artist from Portland, Oregon, Gabriel Messing (known as Messing Music and Animation on YouTube) is a multi-genre composer, songwriter, and stop-motion animator who specializes in a wide variety of music from epic battle orchestrations to quiet, reflective instrumental tunes that bring out his audience's deepest emotions. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Thomas Bergersen, Clamavi de Profundis and Samuel Kim, Gabriel Messing began his musical journey at the age of 14 when he performed for his middle school talent show.

 

From there, Gabriel Messing started learning piano in 2015 and has maintained his skill at the piano ever since. He enrolled in the music program at George Fox University in the Spring of 2020, where he sang in the choir and honed his piano and composition skills to a fine point with the help of his mentors Dr. James Pick, Dr. Hana Lim, and Dr. Brent Weaver. He graduated with his BA in Music Industry in Spring of 2023.
